The short version. You tell us about someone; we write lyrics from your answers and produce a song. You see the lyrics and hear part of the finished song before paying. You get a perpetual personal-use licence — not a copyright. If you are unhappy, email us within 14 days of purchase and we refund you in full. We will not imitate a real artist's voice, and we disclose that the music and vocals are AI-produced.
1. Who we are
SongWeaver ("we", "us") operates songweaver.co and sells personalized songs. You can reach a human at [email protected]. By using the site or buying a song you agree to these terms.
2. What you are buying
A personalized song: original lyrics written from the answers you provide, performed as a recorded track in a musical style you select, delivered to a private gift page and by email. Depending on the tier you choose, your order may also include a synced lyric video, additional versions in different musical styles, scheduled delivery, and a printable lyric sheet.
How the song is made. The lyrics are generated from your interview answers, and you may edit them yourself or request changes before anything is recorded. The music and vocals are produced using AI music technology. We disclose this on the site, in the footer, and on the Is it AI? page. No human musician performs on your song unless we tell you otherwise in writing.
3. Prices and payment
Current prices are shown on the site and at checkout: The Song at $39 and The Keepsake at $69, with optional add-ons priced separately. Prices are in US dollars and may change, but never after you have started checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your card number.
4. Preview, revisions and refunds
Before you pay: you can read the complete lyrics, edit them yourself, and ask for rewrites. You can also hear a free sixty-second cut of the finished recording. There is no charge for any of this and no card is required.
After you pay: if the song is not right, tell us and we will work with you to fix it. If we cannot make it right, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the full amount, no argument and no restocking fee. Refunds return to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days.
We may decline a refund where there is clear evidence of abuse — for example, repeatedly ordering and refunding while continuing to use the delivered files. This is rare and we will always explain our reasoning in writing first.
5. Your licence to the song
On payment you receive a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, personal-use licence to the song, the lyrics, and any artwork or video we deliver with it. That means you may:
- play it privately or at a personal event — a party, a wedding reception, a memorial service;
- share it with family and friends, and post it to your own social media;
- download it, copy it, and keep it indefinitely.
It does not include the right to resell the song, license it to anyone else, distribute it commercially, use it in advertising, or upload it to streaming platforms for monetization.
On copyright, plainly: under current US law, music generated by AI without sufficient human authorship is not eligible for copyright protection — by us, by you, or by anyone. We therefore sell a clearly defined licence rather than claim to transfer a copyright that may not exist. Any service telling you that you will "own the copyright" to an AI-generated song is overstating what it can give you.
6. What we will not write
We decline orders that ask us to imitate a specific real artist's voice or likeness, and orders that are defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, hateful, or that target a private individual with abuse. We also decline anything involving a minor in a sexual or otherwise harmful framing. If we decline your order we refund you in full.
You confirm that the details you submit are yours to share, and that you are not submitting someone else's private information in a way that would harm them.
7. Delivery
Songs are normally delivered within minutes. We do not guarantee a specific delivery time; occasionally a generation fails or a provider has an outage, in which case we re-run it and, if we cannot deliver at all, refund you. Delivery is to the email address you provide — please check it carefully, since a typo is the single most common cause of a missing song.
8. Your account and your data
There is no account to create. Your order is identified by a private link. Anyone with that link can view the gift page, so treat it like a gift you have not wrapped yet. How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
9. Liability
We provide the service as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here on the day you order, and the "last updated" date above will change. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA.
